Welcome

"IRATA from Greensboro, NC...not only know the right way to rock; they are fully unconcerned with the trends of today. (They) make raw, unrelenting rock music that grooves when it's supposed to, crushes when it needs to and will leave you wanting more." - Keith Chachkes of Metal Distro

Summer Tour has begun!

Irata is steamrolling their way to the west coast! We've got dates in Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Denver. Check out our shows page, and see whwn we'll be in your area!

More shows in 2016!

Thank you so much to everybody who came out for our March tour. We had so much fun traveling with Caustic Casanova, and getting to play in places we've never been to before. Keep an eye on our shows page; we've got several already scheduled for the next few months, including a run with Asheville's Bask in May. More summer shows will be added soon, along with a possible tour announcement?!???!?

Good health, new shows!

After a brief recovery period, Jason has completely healed from his injury/illness, and Irata is back! We have several NC shows scheduled throughout the first few months of 2016; check out our shows page (www.iratalive.com/shows) to see where we'll be!

Also, if you live in the upper/middle eastern part of the US, keep your eyes and ears open. We'll be announcing a March tour with dates in your area soon!

Irata on NPR

If you're a fan of public radio, you'll be happy to hear that we have an appearance on 88.5 fm, WFDD. Today at 5:45pm, Triad Arts is re-airing the interview Cheryl did last year which discusses the writing of Semjase. This Friday, also on Triad Arts, you can listen to a live studio recording of the whole band playing songs off the upcoming album, Sweet Loris. Afterwards, Irata weighs in on writing, playing, and touring. Listen on your computer or mobile device at www.npr.org.

Irata announces new album, tour.

Hey everybody! We are super stoked to announce the upcoming release of our new full-length album, Sweet Loris. It will be available on CD and in digital formats on October 9, 2015. Vinyl lovers, fear not! You all will have something to play with, hopefully by the end of the year.

We are incredibly excited to be supporting this album with an East Coast tour in support of Kylesa, and their newest album, Exhausting Fire. We will be playing alongside Inter Arma and Indian Handcrafts.
